Admiral started with a simple observation: cloud infrastructure became boring because we got really good at managing it. Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps. Deploying 10,000 cloud containers is a solved problem.
Edge infrastructure is where cloud was fifteen years ago. Every deployment is artisanal. Every update is a risk. Every device is a snowflake. Our team spent years building edge fleets the hard way, and we got tired of the same broken workflows.
So we built Admiral. One immutable Linux distribution, one OCI image, one way to ship updates to a fleet of any size. The kernel and orchestrator ship together, tightly coupled by design, so embedded engineering becomes a single engineer's effort. Built in Australia by engineers who have run production edge workloads across industrial, agricultural, and critical infrastructure environments.
